TripScore uses the same data as industry experts — price per night, season, cabin type, and itinerary quality — and turns it into one actionable number. No expertise needed: if it's 90+, you book. Period.
The formula

Every deal is analyzed across these 3 core dimensions, adjusted by itinerary quality.
We don't compare to a marketing "crossed-out" price. We compare to the real average nightly rate for each cruise line. MSC averages around $200/night, Royal Caribbean ~$242, Celebrity ~$210. The more you save vs that baseline, the higher your score. Under 30% savings = 0 pts, at 90% savings = 100 pts.
E.g.: 65% below typical rate → ~58 pts
In peak season, the benchmark is raised — so the same discount generates a higher score. Caribbean Dec–Mar: +25% on the benchmark. Alaska in summer: same. Mediterranean Jun–Sep: +25%. Low Mediterranean season: –5%. The algorithm always compares your price against the seasonal market reality.
E.g.: Caribbean cruise in January → higher benchmark → better score for the same price
Each cabin type is compared to its own average — not the ship's overall average. Inside = ×1, oceanview = ×1.25, balcony = ×1.6, suite = ×2.5. A balcony at –40% vs balcony prices scores the same as an inside at –40% vs inside prices.
E.g.: balcony at –45% vs balcony market prices → excellent score, even if the absolute price is higher
The ports on the itinerary are evaluated for appeal and diversity. A high itinerary score (88+) adds up to +8 pts to the final TripScore. Conversely, a weak itinerary can subtract up to –5 pts. It makes the difference between Nassau and the Greek islands.
E.g.: Greece/Turkey itinerary (score 90) → +8 pts vs same cruise with less sought-after ports

These deals sell out in hours, sometimes less. Fill rates are exploding, prices will rise or availability will vanish. If you hesitate, you'll arrive too late. This is the kind of deal you'll tell your friends about — but only if you took it.
Act. Cruise prices never stay still.
A solid deal with a significant discount. Less urgent than a 90+ score, but cruise prices fluctuate every day — and this level of discount is rare. One too many hesitations can be enough to miss it.
Great deal. Prices can rise.
Below-market pricing with good conditions. Less pressure than higher scores, but cruises are never guaranteed at the same price tomorrow. Worth acting on if the destination suits you.

Does a score of 90 mean the deal is perfect?▾
It means it's objectively one of the best deals on the market that day, according to our criteria. It doesn't guarantee it matches your dates or preferences — that's where your profile comes in.
Why does the score change from one day to the next?▾
Because prices change constantly. A deal at 78 pts today can jump to 91 pts tomorrow if the price drops further — or disappear entirely if availability closes.
